Officer Carlos Curiel Quezada Jr For 10 years LAPD allowed a criminal to walk the streets of Los Angeles. This same officer is already on probation for DUI in 2014. This is the kind of person who has no respect for law and the people of America which is hired by LAPD. We must demand stricter laws and polices so officers who are really nothing more than common criminals are quickly removed from our streets and never again allowed to carry a firearm or have a badge.

10 year LAPD officer Carlos Curiel Quezada Jr  and a second person were charged by federal prosecutors Monday with trying to smuggle a Mexican citizen into the United States in the trunk of a car at the Otay Mesa border crossing.

Officer Carlos Curiel Quezada Jr., 34, and Angelica Godinez, 31, were stopped by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers Saturday evening when they drove a white 2014 Nissan Juke through the border crossing.

Asked by U.S. Magistrate William Gallo if he understood the charge against him, he answered, “I do, sir.”

Quezada and Godinez, both U.S. citizens, were arrested Saturday at the Otay Mesa border crossing after U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers directed them to a secondary inspection and sent their car through a giant x-ray machine, according to prosecutors.
