“My Autistic daughter’s legacy from her father was decimated in the Westchester Cty., NY Probate Court in 2007. Former Judge Anthony Scarpino,(who is now the County’s District Attorney, allowed a convicted felon, disbarred attorney-former State Senator Joseph Pisani-to remain as Executor to my husband’s Will; Pisani rewrote that will shortly before his death and named himself Executor and Trustee to the Will. It is specific Probate Law in New York State that a felon is forbidden from serving as a fiduciary, yet then Judge Scarpino overlooked that and allowed Pisani to serve….once a thief always a thief. My daughter’s estate was ravaged.
There is a site Stop Probate Fraud whereby the story is told. Over the years, my daughter’s story has been published in several outlets…the best was from a local newspaper (no longer in existence….NY is highly corrupt, and any attempt to expose judges, pols, D.A.’s) is met with retaliation. That said, the former newspaper was “The Westchester Guardian”.
