San Diego California Mayor WHO IS THIS MONSTER
Bob Filner asked the city to cover his legal fees for a sexual harassment lawsuit
Mayor Says “He Failed to “Fully Respect” the Women in His Office
“As I have stated before, everyone deserves due process “
Former intern Christopher J. Baker—-who according to a declaration—-said, “on many occasions, the mayor managed to berate and belittle women in the office, seeming to use anything in his vocabulary to get under their skin.”
In a legal notice published in U-T San Diego Sunday, Pallamary wrote that Filner should be recalled because his office took $100,000 from a developer to switch positions on setbacks for a Kearny Mesa apartment complex, money that was later returned. The notice also accused Filner of having his San Diego police security team accompany him at taxpayer expense on a personal visit to Paris, ignoring City Council votes, being divisive and disruptive and using a police officer to kick one of the city’s top lawyers out of a closed-session meeting, among other things.
“Mayor Filner has created chaos and a hostile environment since taking office,” Pallamary wrote in the notice.
Bob Filner’s Employee came forward last week stating Filner told her to “work without panties” and detailed other alleged acts of sexual harassment. She called her experience working for the mayor Bob Filner “The Worst Time of My Entire Working Life.”
Filner has been accused of sexually harassing multiple women — a total of seven women have publicly come forward claiming he acted inappropriately toward them.
The hotline is 619-481-0220. The Sheriff’s Department said the number can be used by those willing to come forward with information.
Filner made the request he should be defended under the city’s expense through his lawyer Harvey Berger. He stated Filner should demand the city pay for representation under California Government codes 825 and 995 which deal with compensation and defense of public employees.
Tax payers are forced to pay for dishonest, improper behavior by public servants who should be setting examples and held liable to higher standards.
